Matters of Fact team assisting police with enquiries
Date: 20th Sep 2007
Keen to find out how the local community feel about their local police service, but daunted by the thought of sending out thousands of letters and collating the data, Gwent Police approached Matters of Fact for support.
Since then we have been working with them on a number of community consultation projects achieving response rates of up to 25%. These have involved engaging with the local community through postal and online questionnaires to find out their views of their local police service, identify problems affecting their local community and explore how the police could improve their service. This has provided Gwent Police with invaluable information:
“Working with Matters of Fact has been a pleasant and productive experience, they have been helpful, flexible and timely with the analysis and production of reports. Their undoubted expertise and professionalism whilst carrying out surveys on our behalf, has provided valuable feedback from members of the public. The information gained will contribute toward our planning processes at a local and corporate level.”
Christopher Brown, Planning and Research Officer, Gwent Police
